Leuterio adds more services, goes beyond real estate

FROM being a property broker with a network of 13,000 agents all over the country, Anthony Leutorio is expanding his business to car sales, web development, and insurance services.

The entrepreneur, whose fortune started from his real estate brokerage Leuterio Realty, will launch his new business venture, Filino Homes, on Dec. 7.

In a chance interiew on Monday, Leuterio said Filipino Homes, a one-stop online consumer platform, will be an umbrella organization consisting of 11 companies.

This month, the first five companies will be introduced, namely, CarSavers for the buy-and-sell car business; Happy Webs, a web design company, HomeSavers for furniture and appliances; InsuranceSavers for insurance packages; and Live Eye cameras that are up for sale in one integrated website.

The existing Leuterio Realty and Rent.ph, his rental platform, are subsidaries of Filipino Homes.

The broker, who disclosed that the new venture cost $2 million dollar, said this will answer buyers’ needs, especially OFWs and their families.

“A lot of buyers want one system,” he said. Leuterio explained that in most cases, when OFWs buy houses or condominiums they seek the services of property brokers or agents. From there, clients still consult with their respective brokers and agents about where to buy cars.

Unlike most listing sites where everyone can freely post their properties including houses and cars among others, Filipino Homes will require an agent to represent the sellers.

This way, Leuterio said, sellers will reach out to accredited Filipino Homes agents to list their properties.

In addition, this will increase the income potential of the agent, which will translate to more disposable income circulated back to the economy.

Aside from the existing demand for a one-stop online consumer shop, Leuterio rests his confidence on the growth of Filipino Homes to the increasing Internet penetration in the country.

As Internet penetration widens to 80 percent from the current 40 percent in the Philippines, Leuterio said he is confident that it will become the go-to site among consumers over the next years.
